Why are stored balconies gone now?

Hi, thanks for your patience but I was able to consult with the studio team.

Here is their response:

"Essentially if balconies with roofs are something you haven't unlocked but gain access to with a house template you purchase - you can use them and have access to them as long as you're using the entire house template. It is when you try to move it to your inventory, to mix and match with another house, that the level lock comes back into place. I hope this offers some clarity.
Although, i do realise this is far from an ideal experience and will work with the team to find the best possible solution."

Hi I did this with my athletics abode and can’t get balcony back for that house. Is there a way to get it back?

Ok, so, if we make NEW balconies on a pre-made home or even a house we've built ourselves, decide to redo our homes, and put those balconies in storage, are we able to get those balconies back from storage?

I think the answer is no.
