I keep trying to get my Sim to have a baby, and I keep getting the error that he "wants some privacy." But he's in a doorless, windowless room, and the bassinet and the bed are both in there with him, and nobody else is! Do I have too many Sims at my address? Is this a bug?

@W0lfsBane1224 Oh, I see something that might be causing trouble. The bed is against the wall. Move it away from the wall so there's space on both sides for Sims to get into it. Hope this works 🤗

i realized that to do certain tasks ‘to use the restroom’ or ‘to woohoo,’ your sim needs privacy meaning no other sims should be in that room at that time (:

@W0lfsBane1224 The number of Sims in the houshold does not affect this action. As @47wobbles nobody else can be in the room.

Do you have another bassinet with a baby in the same room where the double bed is?

Do you have another double bed in another room in the house?

Please post screenshots to help us see what can be happening.

@SalixCat Thanks for helping out. As I said in my original post, nobody else is in the room. There is only one bassinet, one double bed, and my Sim; there are no doors or windows, and he is alone in the room. I'll send some screenshots.

Hi @SalixCat , thanks for being willing to help. I am sorry it took me so long to respond, but here are the screenshots. I am still interested in finding out why my Sims can't have babies. I have the option to adopt, but not have a baby with someone I'm in a relationship with, even in a windowless room with both the bassinet and the double bed, and no other Sims present.

Move the bassinet and the bed in separate rooms? 🤔
Maybe the game is reading the bassinet as a baby even if it’s not there yet.

@W0lfsBane1224 Strange. It looks normal. Your Sim is alone. Another thing to try would be to move only the bassinet to another room. Leave the bed where it is.

Hello,
I have been having the same problem. At first I thought it was because my sim was gay, but then it turned out that my daughter can’t have a baby with her husband either because “she wants privacy”. I moved the bassinet into another room, I’ve put it in my store and then put it back, but no, nothing really worked :/
