Changing name doesn't change the names on the badges so it isn't a foolproof way. It only works on accounts that have no challenge or fortress badges.
I've now checked on Tib47 and see that @mosquitojack doesn't have any badges so it would. To change you name you'd need to log into http://www.Origin.com
You need to go to the account billing option, then edit Basic Information. This has worked in the past, there's no certainty it will work now.
