Everyone has differing priorities - every compensation skews the game in some way, either towards or away from an individual player. It would be 'better' if connectivity issues didn't occur, but of course we all know they do even to the biggest players in the market providing Cloud services.
As @tix2 says, 50 cp extra storage for 7 days isn't going to matter much to those that fund 300cp or even 700cp or 900cp limits. Even a 1000 cp for 7 days isn't going to matter much either as it takes so long to just fill to the max.
Let's hope it is a long time before more compensation is issued (ie a long time before the worlds 'break' in some way!)
