Kodiac upgrade

jbl3ck i think you got some right but the case be not about zone troopers or using a units but about a upgrades.... if you are a NOD player that you deffinitly know that farming for NOD with Cobras +shields and sallamanders+drainHP give you a HIUGE advantage with RT... GDI not have that option and i know GDI got a diffrent units that farming looks diffrent but upgrades for NOD fraction deffinitly are to strong.....
you not have an option like cobra + sallamander in state of GDI fraction... ofcourse you can still find easy farm post for GDI as well but in case of long farming NOD going faster and can farm more efficiently...
maybe its a chance to get look by someone to think about that.....
in my opinion shield should be on evry units not only a ground.... its maybe will be able then farmi simillar to NOD when you will use ORCA+Kodiac that will be a fair i think

i have asked for gdi to have better unit upgrades a few times in the forum , but this Kodiak to extend the shields to air units sounds amazing if it possible to do it be sure to add some type of multiplier to the hit points of shield. when the attack is launched with entire Kodiak army for example three Kodiak in a line the middle one should have 3x times the protection.. right?? its own and one from each side .. that used correctly would definitely close the gap between the factions unit upgrades..... enough to shut me up . anyway

Moderators have no knowledge about internal discussions or investigations. Don't expect any developments to be done quickly and expect to see them tested on an existing PTE (not necessarily the current one) before general release.

My guess is as good as yours as to how long all this would take, mid 2022 seems a reasonable target if it is to be developed and fully internally tested.

It's unlikely anything will change with regard to existing units. It's generally accepted that GDI is weaker in some respects than NOD and has been since there was two types of base to play.

its good to have a 2 diffrent fraction to play im 100% agree but its a 100% sure as well that Sallamanders upgrade is a strongest upgrades in a game and any GDI units NOT have even a similar strong Upgrade....
if chance of changing or sallamander upgrade little down or just setuping kodiac upgrade for AIR units protect should ballance more this 2 fraction.... im preety sure that you see on most worlds thats NOD are allways stronger fraction.... maybe its a chance to think for better ballance...

try to get that with mamoots or orcas + kodiac :)

I'm a NOD player myself, but i teamed up with a few experienced GDI payers over the years and i've seen GDI do wonders vs. any target.

Learn how to use the zt (zone trooper) properly... one of the most underestimated units in GDI.

Do not use Kodiaks just because NOD uses Salamander... use GDI tools properly.

With NOD there are quite a few useless units once u get the research done on a select few. Who uses bikes, reckoner, black hand or even militants?

GDI requires more fine tuning and is more powerful overall... It has more options in my opinion.
The only downside is the repair time.

The units speed is also a big factor to consider when playing GDI... Send in attack waves to take advantage of the units speed.

What happens during GDI air units vs. forgotten upgraded mgs. (fort attack)?

I would suggest instead a stronger aura (longer duration)...

Hello Commanders.

While it would probably technically possible to extend the protection to air units while they are on a cell that is covered by the shield, the question would be whether this is a bug or intentionally not the case.
I'll try to find out more about this.

Mostly im playing NOD fraction.
-But i try long time ago when i play as GDI farm orca+ kodiac.
-Impossible to gain a simillar farm resources and similar RT on both fraction.
-As a NOD player im 100% sure a NOD upgrades beat GDI upgrades for 100000..... times.
-I play this game around 5 years also GDI and NOD and i see lots of GDI good players on top ranked... YES
-But its not change a look that GDI got low farm opportunity when you look at Corba a Salla in NOD
-And if a GDI kodiac upgrade will be expanded for air units i will be glad that developers want to balance a fraction finally
-And finally i will see more enemy GDI be on a top places finally..... and farming for them will be better

EVRY farm on same farming zone and GDI is 2 lvl Higher off than NOD
BUT farming RT for gdi is bigger
All players are TOP rank
as you see diffrent is ridiculus....
maybe Kodiac shield for orcas give simillar effect for farming like Cobra + Sallamanders
its ofc just for farming as we all know even if KODIAC will be giving shield for air thats not change much for shooting a BIG bases becouse shield still giving protection depends on Kodiac LVL....

I hope you wrong and its a time to change somethink.... i think GDI is not in lost possition in farming.... i hope when Kodiac Shield will be protect AIR units you will be able farm:
ORCAS + KODIAC Kodiac giving shield to each orca so can protect them a little and get low cost of a RT
same you got in NOD
COBRA+SALLAMANDER Kobras got stright cheap strong upgrade witch protect unit and salla just drain a HP

specjaly when KODIAC upgrade is protecting but no air.. dunno why but that be a big mistake.....
when unit is in shield range should protect it... dosent matter if its air vehickle or infrantry....its your units
maybe it will be chance to fix it
@EE_Elephterion say he will try find more about that and i think changes like air units in range of shield get shield as well its not a hard difficult change and can ballance a farming for both fraction....
specialy when each kobra got a shield... shield from kodiac will be splitted on each unit in range so its still not very BIG change but should be done
