Looks like another server is going to be beat in about a month from now.....
What do you the players do to make the game interesting when early badges are not your priority?
I kind of imagine the servers as individual battles within the same setting instead of starting over fresh each instance.
A long term strategy seems easier to put logic to or even imagine other commanders and their roles within it.

A planetary conquests setting maybe?
There are popular titles out there with planetary invasion gameplay.
And they are civilization building games as well. Now if they were more multiplayer they'd be long term play targets like TA.
This is a long term social investment for sure.
After playing for a few years if people were interested in a comnander's play style they would know by now.
Yes, and i do see the game moving forward.
There's something new to learn, apply every day.
So people are socially engaged in some way.
