Some Thoughts on Veteran Server 5
Veteran Server 5 was very enjoyable. I have some suggestions for Season 6. I don't have any expectations that these suggestions will be implemented but its worth suggesting. I'm suggesting three changes in order of ease of implementation.
1. Allow challenges on Veteran Servers.
After a VS is over there is little reason to continue playing. Allowing challenges on past Veteran Servers would increase the amount of funds players spend. Allowing challenges on current Veteran Servers would also be a great idea. I'm not sure why they have been excluded. Gaining LP on VSs is slow enough as it is - there would be a great competition to achieve top alliance.
2. Buff the RP and VP gained from PvP.
While it is understood the reasons for the nerf of RP and VP from PvP - many players feel it is just too low. If there was a way to buff RP and VP from PvP on the next Veteran Server wars wouldn't seem so meaningless. Players must be General rank to participate in VSs anyway so the chance of consuming alts is less meaningful to the game.
VP is especially low. Consider buffing the VP gained from already destroyed bases based on their defense levels.
3. Do away with inactivity of HUBs.
HUB inactivity allows HUBs to be retaken which has been a crucial point of strategy in Veteran Servers. However, it also allows players to farm Guardians based on worth. What if there was no time based inactivity? Rather there was inactivity based on control of the HUB... 5 players captures a HUB but 6-7 players secures it. Meaning that if there were only 5 players on a HUB the HUB could possibly reset destroying all the bases on it and returning it to Forgotten control.
One way to disarm alliances from actively trying to disable their HUBs to kill Guardians would be to lessen the amount of VP gained from the Guardians and/or HUB upon destroying the Guardians for a second time and/or recapture.
Just some ideas I wanted to share.
Blessings,
