tib54 malus and layout

The layout you have for this world is 'handpicked' for the world, the same for everyone. You can't choose your layout.

All players will start with a randomly chosen resource layout. - this was write before.

agree to disagree, this layout is far better for beginner players as it will undoubtedly slow down all the farm pros and maybe help steer new or intermediate skilled players towards landing base 2 faster than they would otherwise. also, since it was done intentionally i believe this was the reason and it should work, clear to me that an amalgamation of madnesss and lions den will likely win this server and since everyone knows everyone there as well i see a really close parallel to w28 happening.

base 1/2 -> the layout doesn´t matter. new/intermediate players always will be much slower than the "farm pros".

base 2-3 is the only time a newb has a chance against a pro anyways

I for one, love it. Give me the worst possible layout you can think of and I'll make it work. Bring it.

to clear up some confusion: layouts for the starting base will always be the same for all players.
"Hand-picked" means that we know the layout when we configure the world, but doesn't necessary imply that we always pick an "ideal" one for a quick start or layouts. Sometimes its supposed to e a little challenge to optimize your layouts.
Random means we just let the dice roll and not even we know which layout is chosen.
