Clock Error

I'm playing Tiberium 28. I got a message from an Alliance leader warning us not to be in 2 wave when shields go down. I was on chat with a guy and told him I had 32 hours to go. He said he only had about 13 hours to go. I told him "no". It goes on server time. He told me look at the message on your base. I checked it 3 times and even posted in chat that my shield would not go down until 8/11/17 at 04:xx:xx. The minutes and seconds I can't recall. And my game is set on Server time. We then had a discussion about whether changing your alliance affects your shield drop. I felt like the answer was no unless you sector change and I thought that gave you 24 hours more. Anyway, my shield dropped, I'm dead, and I lost my resources. Why did my base report the wrong time for shield drop?

    did you move too close to the lvl 20 base area? - that can also cause the shield to drop, but you do get a warning if that is about to happen.

    No. I didn't do that. I had my shield when I signed out for the night.

    I notice that the original post is 7 days after the start of the server, did you start the server on the first day? If so the tip message was wrong giving you 32h.

    When did you actually start the server - look at the substitution section and it tells you how many days you've been on the server. It should be reading 9 days if you started on the first day. If your message was correct it should be 6 or 7 now.

    From the time you posted (04:xx:xx) I am assuming you're not in the same time zone as many that play (Europe). Which time zone are you in?

    I started substantially at the beginning of the game in the front rows. The time I posted (04:xx:xx) was wrong. I was recalling I believe my mental conversion to local time but my game is set on server time. I distinctly remember when I looked at my tip message it was around 12:53:xx server time. That was when I calculated how much time until shield drop on 8/11/2017. I have been in Costa Rica for 2 weeks which I believe is central standard time. Thanks for looking in to this.
