Game unplayable in Firefox and Chrome with all scripts disabled - Vet World 4

I have disabled all scripts and am getting this error upon trying to exit out of the base screen. Game halts. silence.ogg:1 GET https://prodgame07.alliances.commandandconquer.com/381/resource/qx/s...

Problem must be in the upgrade. That's when mine started acting up. Mac High Sierra 10.13.1 here as well. I have a secure connection when logging in, but once my account is loaded I get "Your connection to this site is not fully secure" in front of the HTTPS://
