Yes, we know the fault.
Reload the page to jump to another authentication server and, if necessary, re-enter your account details.

When the dreaded "Error 500" appears or it takes a long time to validate our credentials on the EA server, try reloading the page. Most of the time it works because it seems to force the system to jump to another authentication server that does work.

If you see this

when you are authenticated, try reloading/refreshing page one or more times.

Another option I find works is to use:
