Support weapons - uneven damage

Hi,

I'm trying to understand how it is possible that in an attack support weapons calibrated on my base at that time have done different damage levels on the same unit type (vehicle) with the same level.

Here is an example snapshot where the Pitbull (level 65) gets something like 50% damage while all the others Juggernaut, Guardian, Mammoth (all level 65) get 90% or so.

https://prnt.sc/sao4ma

Is there something to do with the unit speed?
  • Infantry and air were all equally damaged unless their level was different. I that particular attack that Pitbull was really very different and easy to spot because it was the only unit on yellow when all others were red.
  • You are correct however this forum is quite new and a lot of previously published data was lost when we moved from the old forum to this one.

    I too don't understand why?

Are similar differences in damage being seen by infantry or aircraft when those support weapons fire?
  • @EE_Elephterion : Any hints you can give us where to look for answering this question? Thank you
  • @gamerdruid : I thought about that initially too but I do not think Mammoth would be weaker than a Pitbull. Neither the Juggernaut.
Actually Pitbull has the lowest HP of all the army vehicles (392,297 at level 65, compared to others: Juggernaut 637,482 Mammoth 980,741 Guardian 490,371)

The support weapons damage is calculated in % of the HP of the unit. There is nowhere a documentation saying anything about an extra factor which affects support unit damage.
I've tried searching the forum for such things but could not find anything so far.

Any developer which we can quote on this thread that you know that might be able to advise?

  • Maybe the damage levels are intended to be variable to some extent. Also, for some reason the pitbull may have a stronger outer skin and be more resistant.

Logically, the damage caused to different vehicles by the same weapon would vary.
  • Anyone, any clue?

I have not been able to figure out what causes this strange behavior.
  • It is not the unit speed because the Guardian has the same speed, 120.
    Maybe a bug?
