Cannot make in-game purchases

@theUSpopulation Thanks for the post. Outside of the game, does your Origin work without issue? 

Can you try grabbing Mass Effect 2 from the store and see if this works?

If it does, can you try restarting your system with a Clean Boot, then launch the game without launching any other programs, then check again?

@EA_David No, Origin does not seem to be working. It also has a blank screen. Picture for reference.

Edit: I preformed a clean boot and it fixed this problem with Origin outside of the game, but my original problem still remains an issue. 

Thanks for the update. Can you make sure that both Origin and the game are added to your firewall exceptions lists?

It may also help to try temporarily disabling your anti-virus as a test, in case this is a factor here.

Sorry for the late reply but that did not work either. 

Hmm, I'm running short of ideas. Hopefully we can figure this out though.

Can I check what region you're in? The prices are listed in Dollars, suggesting you're in the US, but if you're elsewhere perhaps the game is trying to reference an invalid version of the store.

Actually, clearing out the Origin local cache worked! I just did it wrong the first time around.  Thank you so much for your time!

im having the same problem, I know its been like 3 years but clearing the origin cache didn't work ☹️
