[CLIENT] Entity is null

Playing Titanfall 2 and when I start to fight a boss fight (Ricker I think), the game freezes and I get an error:

ai/ai_cl_ai_boss_titan.gnut #348

[CLIENT] Entity is null

I've searched these forums but could not find any answers.

I'm playing on PC with an I7, GTX 1080, and 32GB RAM.  The game was running great up until this point.  Please help!

EDIT:  I'm playing the single player campaign.

    Hi @Snick57

    It looks like there might be a missing or corrupted file in the game installation. When you've got a chance can you try repairing the game in Origin to see if that helps? If you right-click on Titanfall 2 in your Origin Library you should see the Repair option in the menu when it comes up. 

    Let me know if you're still getting that same error message after.

    I did as you suggested and sadly it did not fix the problem.  Any other thoughts?

    Thanks for giving it a shot. When you've got a chance can you try grabbing a DxDiag for me so I can take a look? For more details on how to gather one check out the EA Help website

    Thanks, I appreciate that. Do you currently have Titanfall 2 installed on a different storage device than the Origin client itself? If so, can you try moving it to the same drive to see if that helps? In some cases having the game installed on a different drive can cause some issues. Let me know if you're still running into this same error message afterward.

  • They are both installed on the same drive, my C drive.  C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin and C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games.

  • Kent, I went ahead and restarted the mission and when I got to that point where the game froze I made sure I was in a different spot on the map and it did not freeze this time.  So I got past that and it's been running fine now.

    BUT!  I'm now on the mission 'The Ark' and I'm at the spot where I'm looking through the glass to the control room and cannot get it.  I looked at a walkthrough and it looks like my teammates are supposed to come up the stairs with me and breach the glass.  However, they are staying down on the lower level and do not come up.  I know this is more of a tech support board but would you have any idea why they don't come up the stairs?  Am I missing something?

    EDIT:  LOL, never mind.  It turned out that one of the teammates somehow got stuck underneath a floor so I had to restart the mission.  The next time he didn't get stuck and everything went as expected.

    Finished the game, it was fun.  Thanks again for your help!
