Reposting so a solution can be marked and found via search: 

"found a solution, leaving this here for the next one:
go into origin, upper left corner in program settings, turn off overlay, shut down origin, go into steam, right click the game, go properties, controller and turn off;
now when you start the game the controller doesn't take over automatically (unless a steam controller which at least should regit the right controller, so shouldnt be a problem ^^"
