  • Hi @EA_Archi,

    I've tried 44.1kHz/16 bit and it helped but the problem still persisted and got worse when there were more rendering objects nearby. I've tried headphones that are originally 7.1 (but I think it's simulated, plantronics gamecom 780) and set the windows audio setting to stereo and I still couldn't properly play a match.

    I've also tried repairing the game and removing the audio files and repairing on a different occasion.

    I put the process priority at above normal as well and I've changed video and audio settings to try several times with several different setups.

    Otherwise I have no separate audio card and my GPU is a MSI GTX 1070, CPU is an AMD X4 760K quad core.

    Thanks for your reply,

    Dread

    I have only recently performed a fresh install but I could try it. Were it not that I don't have the game, that's why I wanted to try it during the free weekend.

    And I have two monitors connected (only one is used for gaming) one HDMI and one DVI. The HDMI one is used for gaming.

    @DreadZep

    Well, maybe the HDMI connection causes this. It would be nice to test the game with only one DVI monitor.

  • Aaaaand I'm back. I bought the game and I still have problems with my CPU being unable to render the many sound sources (probably), it's an AMD X4 760K and my GPU is an MSI GTX 1070.

    Some things I've tried that helped (a bit) is setting the priority to high in the task manager. I've installed realtek audio manager to try it and at the very least it didn't make it worse.

    The campaign was playable this way but online matches are very annoying.

    Edit: I've tried disabling Origin overlay and other possible fixes that were mentioned too but none of those really helped sadly.

    Edit 2 The Editing: @EA_Archi I forgot this...

    @DreadZep Great to have you back! How was your Holidays? Was Titanfall 2 your Christmas gift? Have you tried the things with disabling your HDMI device?

    Cheers,

    Archi

  • Hey @EA_Archi

    My holidays were.... not the best. I hope yours were better than mine to say the least.

    I haven't tried disabling the HDMI but I'll try that soon.

    Though I have to say that these fixes shouldn't be a normal prerequisite for playing and I hope this info will be used to find out where the problem lies.

    @DreadZep

    I am sorry to hear about your holidays, hope things are better now. As for the issue, I know it should not be like this, but I have not seen any other players with the same issue since, and it can be very difficult to pin point the reason behind this due to great difference in PC hardware and software. Let me know, should HDMI make any difference.

    Cheers,

    Archi

    Hi I've tested with just DVI-D yesterday and I got a 'VIDEO SCHEDULER INTERNAL ERROR' and a BSOD the first time, the second time I could play an entire match without (from what I could tell) much/any audio stutter. Just disabling the HDMI audio source in windows didn't help.

    Besides that I've noticed that when I get the lagspikes my mouse doesn't register all movements.

    Hello @DreadZep and thank you for report.

    Did the you have Origin in game activated for Ttitanfall 2? Turning this option off can resolve the mouse issue. And as for HDMI, I wonder if the cable itself can be an issue. Do you also have an MSI Afterburner installed?

  • Hi @EA_Archi,

    I've been testing with the option turned off and on so I'll try that tonight. How could the cable be an issue?

    And I do have MSI afterburner installed and had it on a (until then) stable OC.

    @DreadZep

    As for the cable, I am referring to my own personal experience. Like I had a terrible connection issue between my receiver and TV, connected with HDMI cable. My PlayStation 4 was going black screen every 2 min, and after a few troubleshooting steps, I discovered, the issue was in fact the HDMI cable. It is hard to believe, but replacing cable resolved this straight away. HDMI can be messy and strange somehow. You do know, there are different HDMI versions, all the way up to 2.1. And you can`t use the older versions to stream UHD content or 3D content. So, if your cable is old, like mine was, it can cause some issues. Sorry for me being carried away over this 🙂

    Also, try to disable MSI Afterburner, and let me know the result.

    Cheers,

    Archi

  • @EA_Archi

    The problem you had with your cable sounds like it was at least partially broken. But I've never experienced an issue like this before. And seeing how I have a separate sound system and I tried the DVI port on the same screen I normally game with it's not very likely the HDMI cable is the cause.

    Furthermore I forgot to mention I've also tested the game on my laptop (I forget the CPU but the GPU is an NVIDIA GTX 850M) and in general (with lowered graphics) it ran almost better than on my gaming rig.

    And I'll try disabling afterburner next time =]

    Edit: Of course I made sure the laptop was using the GPU, had taken the battery out and connected the power supply and made sure it had a cable connection. All in the name of semi-proper test results.

    Have a good one,

    Thank you @DreadZep for doing all this testing, I will make sure those test results will be put to good use. 🙂 And let me know how it goes with the Afterburner.

    Cheers,

    Archi

  • No problem @EA_Archi I just want to play the game without being able to blame the lag for my terrible failings ;P

    And sadly closing afterburner had little to no effect.

    I've also noticed that I have syncing problems with titanfall 2 but just on this pc, my laptop seems unaffected.

    Meaning every time I start or close titanfall 2 I'll get a popup saying there has been a syncing error.

    @DreadZep

    Thank you again for this information. I will keep you updated, should I receive any new information on this.

    Cheers,

    Archi

  • The pleasure is mine @EA_Archi, let me know if there's anything you want me to try.

    And thanks for relaying my testresults =]

  • Hi @EA_Archi,

    Since the game patch/driver update from NVIDIA I'm happy to announce I've experienced (at least until now) much less audio stuttering and lagspikes.

    Though I don't know which did the trick (maybe even both).

    Great news @DreadZep! I bet some of your test results were used to bring us this update. Keep me posted on any future updates.

    Cheers,

    Archi

  • Yay I helped make the world a slightly better place! I feel all warm and tingly =]
