Workaround: Please reinstall the game using the language you bought it for.

Try checking your hard disk for errors
Open an elevated Command Prompt (go start menu, accessories, Command Prompt - BUT right click it and run as administrator)type this exactly
sfc /scannow
If it encounters errors you might need to do it from safe mode. This is done by tapping f8 while powering on your computer and selecting SAFE MODE WITH COMMAND PROMPT
I recently had this error and I personally had 2 problems. 1 was my hard disk had corrupted sectors that could not be dealt with and forced me to install windows onto a new SSD. Second problem was the BIOS of my graphics card was bad and I had to fix it with NVFLASH.
Try updating the bios to your graphics card.
One last thing.
You are not using INSANE textures are you? WITHOUT 8gigs of VRAM or more it is prone to giving error messages.
Hope any of this helped - Anonymous9 years agoNot applicable
I bought it in german and installed it in german (several times).
And i have the german language files in the folder. But my Respawn startscreen is in russia. God knows why.

Hi,
no i don´t use insane textures. What i cnnot understand is the circumstance that the game works for about 2 hours without any problems. And all my other games have also no problems. I think is a problem of drm.

Barry,
This suggestion is not working!
I've already spent 2 days just trying to reinstlal the origin client and once I finally did, now TItanfall 2 will not run.
The language is not the issue. It was purchased for english, all settings are set to english.
Any other suggestions?

So I'm having this engine error: file corruption detected error as well during startup this seemed to have happened after a Windows update.
Brief description of the issue: When starting the game the Respawn entertainement logo appears and then a window appears to say: Engine Error: File corruption detected, please repair or reinstall the game. Once you click OK, the game closes.
I've attached the dxdiag file as instructed.
Brief system specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7-5820k at 3.3 GHz (6C/12T)
GPU: MSI Radeon RX 580 ARMOR MK3 8GB
DirectX: 12
RAM: 16 GB DDR4 @2400MHz
Storage in which Titanfall 2 is installed: Samsung 960 EVO M.2 512 GB SSD
Storage in which Origin is installed: (C: Drive) Samsung 840 EVO SATA 256 GB SSD.
Internet connection of 120 Mbps
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit version 1903 (OS Build 18342.1)
Troubleshooting steps:
- Right click on the game in the Origin library and clicked on Repair, re run the game, same error.
- Uninstalled the game and then reinstall it, bought the game in English and installed the game in English, re run the game, same error.
- Ran the CHKDSK tool to verify the disk in which Origin is and where Titanfall 2 is, no bad sectors found.
- Ran the sfc.exe command, found some corrupted OS files and it got repaired, re-run the game, same error.
The only thing that I've noticed that might of made it corrupted was that there was a Windows Update that required a reboot, after the reboot the game started giving out this error.

Hey @ShinraCorp01 , have you tried reinstalling drivers on your PC?
Also worth a try is to remove the Documenter folder for TF2 and then start the game up and see if that help. 🙂

Hi. I had the same problem. I noticed that I couldn't find Origine is my apps when search in the control panel of windows. I deleted the folder of origine, downloaded again the instalation file and installed Origine again. It solved my problem for Titanfall.

nothing worked for me ! - NinjaZ474 years agoNot applicable
If you have the game through steam, what worked for me was changing the language of the game to Polish, launching the game, quitting and changing it back to English. Probably doesn't have to be Polish specifically tho.
Right click the game on steam > Properties > Language

This worked. English -> German -> English = ok! 🙂
- tniromin4 years agoNew Scout@ScubaStriker Normally that is auto selected when u download the game , and all the language files are downloaded in most cases.
Did u try verifying and even tried reinstalling origin ? - lukeiplier14 years agoNot applicable
i did that and it keeps getting corrupted, im playing though steam and there isnt any other things i can try
- MiaMi_x_BaLa4 years agoNot applicable@ScubaStriker In EA desktop its difficult to do it (coz the app is the biggest * ive ever seen, even worse than xbox app for pc) so what worked for me to dont uninstall and installing again all day (coz i only have 2-3 mb/s download), was to change de titanfall 2 file from my hdd to my ssd (i think u can also change just from 1 ssd to another if u have 2) and then in the EA app i could install again the game and change the language to german and surprise, it worked.
For explanation: at the point where i say i could install again, u think that u have to install the game again but no, u just need to choose the place where u moved the titanfall file and select german and after a moment its done.
Hope u could understand me and i hope i could help someone with this. BTW sorry for my bad english. - MiaMi_x_BaLa4 years agoNot applicable@MasterMooo for me too, in EA desktop its more difficult but you can do it and imo the game is fully worth the work

I reinstalled the game in its original language and nothing, it's still the same. My computer has an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 i7 generation 13 card.

EA_Barry I also have a TF2 problem. When I start up the game a massage ''File corruption detected. Please repair or re-install the game". I have already re-install it but it does not budge. Please tell me what to do.
