Titanfall 2 won't start

Hi @0diresu When you have a moment can we try the following steps?

• Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
• Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates  
• Check Drivers, Default to High-Performance GPU: Troubleshooting Graphics issues 
• Install/Repair your VC++ files for 2010/2012 your game (Microsoft VC++ Link)

Thanks for the info.

I think the visual C stuff helped as things changed after updating them, When I try to run titanfall now I am getting a plain white window full screen with a grey title bar and an error window saying "failed to create game window. resolution 2293x960 unsupported?". After I click 'ok' on the error box a small dark grey window flashes up very briefly and the only thing i spotted on it was a % sign , then the big window closes.

I checked and Nvidea graphic drivers are latest and display is running at 3440x1440, I have tried switching display to 2560x1440 and 1920x1200 or 1920x1080 but no change.

I don't have Repair/Verify in that menu, just 'play' and 'manage add ons' and nothing like it in the 'steam' app.

No difference after empty cache.

Tried running it with all other apps and a few services closed/stopped, can't stop the EA app though as it then turns everything off.

The compatibility trouble shooter first went for 'Win 8', no difference, not sure what it tried after that but it wouldn't run at all.

I'm not sure what clean boot mode is, I tried safe mode but it won't run in that.

Had a lot of problems when I tried a different admin account, mostly security issues which I couldn't find any solution to, I had previously taken 'ownership' of all these folders but that did not seem to run properly, it had previously taken some minutes to complete but just a few seconds this time.

Titanfall 2 is buried deep in one of steams folders and I just noticed there is also 'Titalnfall2_trial.exe' but that doesn't do anything when I try to run it.
