Xbox 360 - First match of the day OK, then cycles through the 10 server connection attempts

This is in regards to the 360 version...

It never fails for the last three days since launch that the first match played (training or multiplayer) for that day runs OK (usually), but then immediately has the "server connection timed out" error on the second match. After that it continuously cycles through the 10 server connection attempts. During this cycling the attempts are very slow compared to when it works and the game and Xbox 360 itself is nearly unresponsive. It should be noted that Battlefield 4 multiplayer works flawlessly, which tells me that the issue is specific to Titanfall and not the Xbox Live or my internet connection/setup.

First off I've diagnosed my home network and contacted the ISP. Nothing is amiss there. I even put the Xbox on the DMZ so that all ports are open and no other router functions could be hindering connection performance.

After all of that I contacted EA help and chatted with a support representative. He said that they are aware of the issue and working on it. The strange thing is that he didn't have any other information than that and completed out my issue as "resolved." I've since gone back in to that original issue and reopened it so it's not listed as "resolved." It was and is currenlty NOT "resolved." I would recommend everyone that has had this issue or any other server/connection issues with the Xbox 360 version check their help ticket/conversation status at https://help.ea.com/en/ and click "Manage Your Account" then "My Conversations" and verify that any still open issues are noted as "in progress" and not "resolved."

To all with open Xbox 360 Titanfall connection issues... please keep posting. I'm getting the sinking feeling that EA is trying to hide the fact that the Xbox 360 Titanfall version is not a finished game (for many of us) in its current state, or the customer service representatives aren't correctly handling our issues and the word isn't getting back to those that need to know the extent of these connection problems.

it's been 12 days since I bought this game and since day one I've had this same issue. I opened ALL recommended ports and even tried that belkin thing where they ask you to change the dns on your xbox to primary 4.2.2.2 secondary 8.8.8.8. No luck. I contacted EA twice and the first guy told me they already knew about the problem and it would be fixed within a few hours. The second lady was a lot nicer and actually tried some troubleshooting but in the end she too gave up and told me this was a known issue and there was nothing she could do. I took my disk to my friends house to see if it'll work there. Whatda know the game worked perfectly on his xbox. Not even lag and he didn't even have to open any ports. I have no idea what the difference is between here and there, maybe the difference in routers or the fact that he has the halo 4 edition xbox 360 and I only have the slim, or he uses DSL and I use Comast. Whatever the difference is I can't play on my xbox and he can. This error should be resolved already. It's obviously something miscommunicating between the game titanfall and the xbox 360 console itself. No **bleep** about how it must be our crappy connection or make us feel bad like it's something we did wrong but this is clearly how the game was designed to interact with out consoles. If you're going to release a game that doesn't work for everyone on the platforms you release it on, don't shrug your shoulders and say "oh well sucks to be you" and then try to sweep it under the rug. Help us, do everything you can to fix it or offer a refund because as of today, nearly 2 weeks later, my game it still unplayable.

I posted my issues on a new thread 2 days ago and now it's not on here?? I noticed today it is stuck in the loading screen searching to connect to Aus server, compared to yesterday when it would connect first and then disconnect from the server.
I have also noticed that they are not responding to anyone, this is a disgrace. Stating that an issue is "resolved" is a lie.
I have contacted gaming media outlets to try and get some answers.
They want the community to answer and be the "Hero" well I am sorry but only they can be the Hero on this one!!
Please, communicate more with your paying customers, it is a common courtesy!
  • I have same issue of not able to connect but I have the PC version.

And I have tried EA's troubleshooting steps with no success.

  • Just to chronologically recap since my original post...

    1.  Game doesn't work as noted in the original post.
    2.  Xbox 360 on the router's DMZ (i.e. all router functions taken out of the equation and ALL ports open).
    3.  Battlefield 4 multiplayer plays great, never having a disconnect.
    4.  I've performed the UOTrace and get a 100% packet loss after it hits Washington state and goes to one specific EA(?) host (159.153.225.2).
    5.  UOTrace has no packet loss everywhere else and ping times are always below 70ms and averages about 50ms.
    6.  I'm tracing from eastern Iowa.
    7.  I've installed the ~60MB update just yesterday (4/23/14), then did items 8-10.
    8.  Cleared the Xbox 360 system cache.
    9.  Reset the Xbox 360 system clock.
    10.  Deleted and redownloaded my gamertag.
    11.  Game still doesn't work as noted in the original post.

This is frustrating to say the least. In addition to that it takes their customer service representatives multiple days to come back with something new to try.

I wish they would just acknowledge the Xbox 360 connectivity issue and give us status updates on its resolution.

I pre-ordered this game and have tried to play it every day since launch and have NEVER been able to play a single match. From my perspective... $60 was paid for a game that by the time it's working the retail price will have dropped to $45 and used prices will likely be below $30. In essence, EA has and continues to steal money from me by the constant devaluing of a game I paid full price for and haven't been able to play by no fault of mine.

With Hughesnet and EA i spent money to play but couldn't play even 1 game. Why? I've tried everything, and wasted a lot of time!

Ugh, this really bothers me. Its 2014 and we are still having problems with unfinished games. This pisses me off. I did not spend $60 on a brand new game that can ONLY be played online for me to not even be able to connect.

Wow. If you actually believe this, go to a lawyer and start a class action against EA. Bahaha.

    Me too.

What's the first thing we all see when the game loads? .........please contact us at EA HELP for any issues we may be having in the game.

I dont know why im wasting my time yet again posting my concerns on this site. When no ea rep has commented on this thread.

Same old **bleep** different day. Very dissapointed EA.

Same thing. Such **bleep** and they aren't doing a thing about it. The customer support sucks ass and can't even speak english. Such a waste to buy this game.
