I always strive for symmetry. It looks like a good start to me but I'd give it a little more room, depending on your available space. I also try to layout my roads to make sure everything is going to line up like you want. You could do it and then remove them. Nothing more frustrating than getting something finished and the road/pavement/water doesn't line up.

Good work! :D Only thing I can come up with is adding a few more decorations and maybe fencing the back :mrgreen:

I added a lot of flowers until I ran out of money. lol.
Other than expanding to the end of the row on the left side, do I need more flowers? :D

Looks better. The key is to keep playing around with it. I'm always tweeking my whole town.

I notice from visiting towns that many of us us a lot of land for Burns manor. Fencing, hedges, flowers and gates are some ideas. I like to make designs with the hedges, especially the small ones. You're off to a nice start! :D
