“Dark Mana Remaining”

Question

Can anyone shed light on what is meant by “Dark Mana Remaining” at the top of each beasts battle page? Mine have been slowly counting down I have 3-4 circles emptied on each but what happen it runs out?

Does the NPC monster become an operational character?

No. Then you get to charge them with light mana. Once fully charged you can release them which is a 4 hour task that pays event currency and gives you an item. Edits: typos

Seems to be random. Or at least I've gotten 2 different items from each monster (only had 2 iterations). Treestache seems to give out standard decorations like trees and shrubs. The others have been giving me new items

first time you get the 1st 3 items then they're random. set of 3 items each monster
