Thanks for the spreadsheet! If you want red negatives then

Highlight the appropriate Needs row and
look under Format, Conditional Formatting,
set to Format Cells... if less than 0, then pick the red font.

Ah! Thank you. I have now updated the spreadsheet online with red negatives.

It's so much easier to do that in Libre Office - just check the checkbox. From the looks of it Google Sheets has a lot more optionality though...
