I've written this around a bunch of times.. hope your charisma helps! Putting it in the gold box during Black Friday was not correct; as you say, it's the only really essential item for the game. I promised a guy with Down Syndrome that I would ask EA about this myself, but then I didn't!

Perhaps it's limited so only the most committed players will get it.

There's limited and there's impossible to get. Addicts post today from someone who's been playing pretty much from the start and can't get any more land. Yeah it'll have been up a few times for them but they didn't know it was that important until too late.
I was lucky when I started my second game for the xmas 2019 event, and it came up early 2020, so I jumped on it, but I'd be in a real mess if I'd missed it that time too.
I could understand it being limited when it was new and so were the tiles you could only get for tokens, but that has long passed and it needs to be available at least frequently if not always.
There's hundreds of tiles you can only get with tokens and the GGR only pays 2 tokens a day, so getting it when you run into trouble still causes problems for the player too.

@1-Graham-S , are you saying that all the land can only be acquired with the GGR? There’s no other way to obtain it? I can’t remember anymore.

Land tiles occasionally come up as rewards for daily challenges, but I can’t remember how many challenges are required to get it.

There's something like 528 tiles you can only get with Tokens.
A lucky player might get 5 a year from the Daily Challenges . . .

I'll redo my map sometime soon and you'll see . . .

@1-Graham-S is right! That item was created and made mandatory years ago; it was conceived together with the method of unlocking land with tokens, of which it is an integral and inseparable part! It was normally put on sale, for 150 donuts, at least once a year! Then the negative turn ... it ended up in the black Friday golden mystery box, whose token is obtained only with purchases in real currency, but, for example this year, that box was full of junk and take the building in question was practically impossible!

Wow! I did not realize there's over 500 land squares that cannot be obtained without the GGR. That's lame.
