A THEORY NO MORE - All good in the hood

I have a level 9 friend they have a tiny bit of land and barely any buildings, but i have a friend who has all the buildings yet a tiny piece of land as well both i can visit, Only one person visited me during the update i have all the land and building up to the apartments, but they did not leave me any hearts or cards

My two cents

I just browsed thru my 14 friends I can visit. Most of them are "new" - added after update, but not all newly added towns are available.

There is one pattern I discovered with these cities what are accessible to me - it is the number of premium items. Most of them did not have any premium items at all and the max number of premium items in a town what was accessible was 5. No white fences, no tire fires etc.
If this is correct, then EA is punishing the people who finance the game...

That's an interesting observation. I saw one poster say they weren't getting the friend chain bonus. That would make sense if the only towns they could visit don't have any premiums therefore don't get the premium bonus.

I'd store all my premium stuff to experiment, but that would take half an hour.

Same here. It is half past 12 in this part of the word and I have to be working tomorrow to earn money in order to buy donuts :-P. I have about 50% bonus, so it would take quite long to remove all premiums. So no experimentation today from me. :-(

I just made it into a friends that I could not get in before....and then server disconnect
