- I think Jasper should have been the free character and Herman should have been premium because i think Jasper is in more episodes and such but i like Herman better anyways so i am happy
- I agree, things are so expensive.
Some buildings (some cool, main ones) are so expensive that you can't afford them if you don't use real money.
E.g. I have saved up since August playing just getting donuts I get from levelling up etc, and I'm only on 100 donuts (ant afford Jasper)
EA do this on other games as well like on FIFA with packs on UT that you get nothing in. - I think 150 for a building and character is pretty resonable. Wasn't lugash like 250? But I can see both sides... To someone working part time for $10/hr spending $15 on a character might be a bit much, where as someone earning $100k it's nothing.
- I think EA should follow the ol' "volume volume volume" mindset. Perhaps many, especially the kids on here, can't afford the high prices. If the prices were lower, we wouldn't have to think about buying premium items. EA would make more money. :?

I don't agree with this reasoning. There are plenty on here who are professionals making well above 100K a year on their own salary without factoring in the salary of their spouses. Those people may choose not to spend their discretionary income on a game. They may also choose to do it.
I don't think income should factor into this conversation. There are also students on here with very little income so by this reasoning they shouldn't want to pay for the items? What if they have very little expenses?
Then there are those who set aside X amount every payday for "fun" and they choose to spend it on games.
I'm just saying that income probably isn't that big of a weighted item when making these determinations. I'd say how much time/effort is invested in the game is a higher indicator.
Thoughts? If you are spending hours a day, are you (anybody) more willing to spend the cash?- Although, I agree that EA is selling overpriced pixel junks from the microeconomics point of view is a monopoly.which means that it's selling a unique product in a non competitive market and it's the firm that sets the prices. As a "gamer" I buy games with 50 euros that don't hold my interest for that long so to pay 100 in donuts per a year or so it's moderly fine with me. It keeps me amused and busy while the new content is interesting and it's like having unknown mini games, which I absolutely love.

Microeconomics! LOL I've been listening to a podcast by the guys who wrote Freakonomics and just re-purchased their book. The podcast made me want to revisit that book, it's one of my favorites. Then again, I subscribe to The Economist so...lol....I like reading on market trends and economics.
Did you see my above post since we were posting at the same time?
So you are one that falls into the category of "I spend hours a day on this game and don't mind spending the money"?MmeLaura wrote:

I totally agree with you!- To the OP, I think this Simpsons quote say's it best:
Comic Book Guy: As a loyal viewer, I feel they owe me.
Bart: For what? Theyre giving you thousands of hours of entertainment for free. What could they possibly owe you? If anything, you owe them. - The fact that people keep on buying makes EA's decision easier. They will keep pumping out over-priced premium items until people wise up a bit. I don't buy any more premium items. This game is a money pit, don't let it swallow you up.
