- My plan is to trade in only for daily prizes, and only use the small trade-ins. That will leave the most resources available for the next act. I don't think there's any point to getting extra clues since there are no bonuts for extra clues.
Edit: Or, yeah, what they he said! Kratos6283 wrote:
I'm going to hold on to mine. I'll trade in on the lowest tier option to get the daily prize, but otherwise just rack up hats and axes.
No bonuts = no reason to spend them right now.
+1 hoarding currency in case speculation that they will be needed in future acts is true. Just getting daily prize.- It's SPECULATED that crafting the daily prizes will be possible during the last week. So having as many saved up as possible can't hurt. And there are no bonuts this time, so it's not worth spending them on anything other than to meet the daily prize requirements.

This information did not stop a lot of you from finishing the Act early anyway. You've now got 5 days of trade-ins that you're already going to make in order to get each daily prize, which won't ALSO count toward the prizes for finishing the Act (like they would have if you'd just waited). Congratulations for getting the Rib Hut early! I'm sure it is totally worth it.
To each, his/her own.
I'm confused...so we shouldn't play the game at our normal pace because EA gives us more time than necessary? I don't recall anyone saying they spent donuts to finish as fast as possible, so what exactly do you mean? - While I don't have the ribshack yet, I have switched to only trading in the smallest amount of axes/hats to get the daily prize. I'm close enough that I know between that and bandits, I'll get plenty of clues to get the ribshack. This way I save even more hats/axes heading into act 2

I mean you're wasting event currency by finishing early.
How is it a "waste?"
I'm done with the prizes and am now SAVING thousands of resources. Whether I can use the resources at the end of the event, I don't know but I'll definitely be ahead as each act is released, making more saving possible.
My guess is you don't play multiple times per day or more likely, you don't have all of the characters to earn resources. Either is fine but some of us might play more and may have more to earn with.ArmpitAttack wrote:
then there's this "Earn more clues: 1500" business that kicks in after Doobner. What? There's no donut bonus attached to it from the looks of things. So what happens when you get to this 1500? I guess I have no choice but to eventually find out, yet I'm in the habit of asking things on here.
if it doesn't give donuts, it's probably just the usual $100 task complete reward or the like.johnny50373 wrote:

OP is saying it's a waste because you still have to spend pick axes and hats on the daily prizes. If you've already unlocked all of the prizes from the act 1 track, then you won't also earn clues towards them when you trade in for the daily prizes. At the end of act 1, you will have spent more resources if you finished the prize track early.airmancoop44 wrote:

I'm banking on the clues adding up and being used when the next act starts. It's not about bonuts. It's about getting done sooner.
If I'm wrong about the clues adding to the next act, that's okay too. I'll be able to send those characters on $ making tasks if I want. I have plenty of resources, I might as well use them. I play a lot and might as well get done, right?
It's only a waste if I'll end up short on resources later...
I expect to do fine through out the entire event, not just act 1.
That being said, I wouldn't mind a little clarification about the clues.
Will the number of clues needed for act 2 start at 0 or 26,000(or whatever it is)?- DigitalBagginsNew NoviceWell you know what they're not in short supply I have over 11,000 pickaxes and over 5,000 hats and with four more days in the event I'm surely going to have a lot more pickaxes and hats I really don't see the problem
