It's not very pleasant in Italian which is why the filter kicks it out ;) M-ona that is, not International Mothers Day.
British Mothers Day follows an ecclesiastical event as in Mother church day, not as we celebrate it now. We were all supposed to visit the Church in which you were baptised in on Mother's Day. However, it's true meaning got moved to what it is, and rather than throw the baby out with bath water it was decided to retain the UK date rather than the international date. Weird but then that's us Brits for you.
