It's Mothers Day here in Australia too.
Wow, I never knew that about Mothers Day, very interesting!! Thank you. What about Fathers Day? Was it the same thing with visiting your Baptismal church? I love that the Brits are traditionalists, too many 'celebration days' are lost to the modern world. Back in Feb I was chatting to a 19yr old girl and she was complaining that Valentines Day was just about commercialism and it's only there as a money-making day. I explained who * Valentine was, and she was actually pretty interested, she had no idea there was an historical meaning behind it.
Anyway, to all the forum Mums out there, whether your Country celebrates you today or not, "Happy Mothers Day"! :D :D
