Anybody else hoping the Spring event this year is NOT Whacking Day?

I'm on the fence. I liked Whacking Day, I started playing maybe a few weeks before it started so it was really fun and captured my interest in the game. I had an egg buddy which made it super easy.

I would be fun to make Whacking Day a yearly event, but don't we already have enough of those (Xmas, V-Day).

A tool that's better than those speakers we got last year would be great.

Plus I want Whacking Day this year because it'll give us a chance to get the Old Irish Man as a playable character.

In retrospect I liked Whacking Day -- it was challenging and the prizes were fantastic (among them two skins and two buildings with characters!). On the flipside, it went on for, like, a month an a half, and it was a little too hard to keep up with the number of snakes needed to get that last prize (this was before they added another week on, by which time many people -- my sister included -- burned donuts unnecessarily to get that last prize).

(Oh, yeah, the bonus, post-Ms. Springfield, prizes sucked. Two thousand extra snakes to earn game currency and maybe, but not likely, donuts? After three failed attempts to get donuts I just said, "Y'know, I think I can deal with the snakes running around my town." )

I hope that EA takes the lessons learned from last year's Whacking Day -- and Halloween and Christmas, for that matter -- and apply it to what will hopefully be this year's Whacking Day. I also wouldn't even mind having the wheel back. Just make it fun and strike that balance in between the making the event too easy and too hard.

Oh, and we would seriously need more, much more, land to place our new prizes!

I would like to see it return if it included the Coliseum and Motel as prizes like last year.

One of my real-life friends missed out because his snake count got reset to zero twice and EA failed to help

I was not here for last years event, so I'm pretty excited. It seems like whacking day should be the most important Simpsons event!

I loved Whacking Day and would have no problem with the same event again...just give me Crazy Cat Lady!

I missed the start of whacking day 2013 cos I wasn't a regular player back then - but it was playing during WD that made me one!

True I didn't get all the prizes but it was fun trying to get as many as I could, and if it was easy and you knew you could win everything what would be the point in playing? They may as well just give you the stuff!

PS: I didn't have an "egg buddy" last year (I didn't know such a thing existed lol) but I'm open to it this year :wink:

Wasn't here for whacking day last year, I'd love it back! :-D
