- jukan0012 years agoNew SpectatorAHA! Out of curiosity I went to see if the golden scratch ticket price would be increased and the price was in euros.
.89 of euro to be exact. My game thinks I'm somewhere else. jukan00 wrote:

So are they adding tax to the original cost to make more money for themselves? This has to be a mistake on a single set of servers surely? I tend to buy 300 donuts per month just so I can get any buildings I like. I don't buy everything. This cost is £13.99 Geast Britain pounds. I'm not paying 20% more so if this has been leaked out early then my town will be shutting up.
By the way EA did something similar with an add on for FIFA 14 where they didn't transfer a discount it offered between 360 and xbox One. No reason they couldn't have applied the discount as other bits of this package transferred over. Only the discount didn't.
The tax doesn't get collected by EA at the end of the day. It is collected by the government. different regions have different tax. Ontario is 13%. Some states are free. etc etc.EA must report their income and pay taxes on it based on that particular region.- No change in UK. Still £69.99 for a boatload.
this is 18:25 UK time. - jukan0012 years agoNew Spectator

Can we get a mod to lock this thread already? It's getting to be the length where no one is going to read it to find out there is no increase in donut prices. The smells of mass hysteria and rampant idiocy are in the air.
If you've an ounce of human decency, stop replying and let this thread die before more people wake up to see "Donut prices are going up".
Or whoever created this thread could just change the name to reflect the truth...
Sorry bruh. Based off your avi you probaby think I'm a scro. :)
I'm also your neighbor btw.
Didn't mean to cause any panic. It was/is just really weird. My prices are still 23% more and when I go to buy a golden scratch ticket it only gives me an option to buy in euros which it then says "Purchase currency in not supported". Cujo038 wrote:

In the U.S. where companies don't have a physical presence, they're not required to collect taxes for online transactions. So I never really understood why those of us outside of California (where EA's headquarters are) are forced to pay the 5 dollar tax on a boatload of donuts. Maybe I'm missing something here?
