Are random tasks a thing of the past?

I've had one for Krusty to walk Mr. Teeny for several days now. I keep sending him on it, but it's not highlighted in yellow, and it doesn't complete once I'm done with it. Some kind of glitch. :evil:

You could try storing Mr. Teeny and see if the task gets highlighted (or alternatively, take Mr. Teeny out of storage). I'm thinking this particular random task was programmed before Mr. Teeny was a FP earned character, and so the task doesn't take this into account (or alternatively, the other way around).

Had to send Marge to church last night and today DS had to boogie down so yeah

Have tried it, but doesn't work. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I get one after as soon as the earlier random task is finished.

My town hiccuped and I now have 2 randoms pop up..
Overall, ehh.. I am ok with them.. easy extra cash and exp although I was NOT going to send Homer to watch Monkey Trauma for 24 hours during Thanksgiving :shock:

I just wish they were a little more "random" as I see basically the same ones over and over using the same characters instead of a truly random any character/any task kind of set up.. ah well..

I've noticed that only these characters have been getting assigned random tasks my town

Wiggum
Luigi
Grampa-the most annoying one as it's always his Hour one

I have noticed that when I plant corn, a random task to grow something would soon enough pop up. And in my task book this task waited for 90 days. Once my corn was finished, I completed the grow task and other random task started to pop up again. I have planted "Christmas Corn" and have moonshine in my task book and have not had any new random tasks since.

To the OP, do you have corn planted and is there a growing task in your task book? I think as long as you have on random task yet to be completed, other random tasks do not pop up

Lisa just got one in my town, but that list is basically it. Her's was the 45 second one, so I assigned all characters to their long tasks while the 45 seconds counted down, then cleared Lisa and set her on the long task and had an empty taskbook until I cleared tasks. Love when that happens.

Yesterday, in the first three of my towns that I visited, I was given 45-second tasks. I NEVERget the 45-second tasks, so I thought maybe it was a harbinger of the christmas update, and was a special way EA was giving us to keep characters free. In my next town, I was told to send Homer to watch the marathon. Like I'm gonna do that. Not.
