As a scout leader for 30+ years I am not thrilled with the depiction

Both of my boys are involved in scouting an we've had a great experience. It's a parody, a joke. And at the time scouting was in the news for the wrong reason due to a few bad eggs - just like all preists aren't child molestors. The Simpsons have a rich history of equally teasing everyone through satire.
