At first I laughed at "This game is life-ruiningly fun"......

Do it. You'll love it! You'll get such a kick out of seeing Otto jamming on the guitar or some classic building in your very own little Springfield. There a lot worse things you could spend your money on.
I'm an addict as well.

What an amazing thing. I reached out for help and I am amazed at the sincerity and hospitality of you all. Thank you to each and every reply. I applaud the slippery slope warnings as do I feel humbled looking at some of the other towns on here. Wowza!
My earlier comment about saving up is not too far from the truth. Money is beyond tight for me now but I also realize the therapeutic effects of having TSTO and this forum to lean onto. Not getting into details I'm currently riding a lower valley if my up and down life. It is what it is and I have to accept it. It's amazing therapy to build and oversee the activities in my own little Springfield though.
I've accepted once I save enough real life money (everything to me is now either real life or in the game...) I will likely buy a few donuts or as mentioned, I will join the dark side. I'm confident enough I've already placed glow in the dark stickers illuminating all exits. I can't find my "dark side vision" glasses though.... Grrrrr.

I'm off to tap tap tap... Just wanted to give a sincere group hug to you all!
Thank you and may the donuts rain down on us all.

    Come Again!

Howdy neighbor (from my alter ego, SnarkTheCat)

I am in the tight cash flow situation myself. I have been having some fun buying a scratcher each week. I haven't won the jackpot, but I usually win more than 6 donuts. It's fun and I just give up a soda per week :D

Anyways, welcome to the forum. You have now come over to the dark side and we do have some cookies over there by the punch bowl. Lots of cookies!
  • Thank you haha. My neighbours are awesome!! So glad I moved into this little town :)

I've been sitting outside a Tim Horton's (for those not in Canada, that's a coffee and donut shop) for the last hour playing TSTO in hopes my game magically absorbs some donuts, mmmmmm donuts.... Or I should say dognuts,.... Sounds funnier that way. Darn, doesn't seem to be working.

Mmmmmmm...Tim Horton's and dognuts. Wait...WHAT? (Tee hee!)
  • Do it. No regrets at all. I will say that I waited to buy my boatload until Gil's Christmas deal - but dollars to time spent, you cant find a cheaper source of entertainment. Once you do go premium, I suggest pacing out your purchases so that you can extend the life of the game.

I used to live in Tim Horton's territory, and now I don't anymore!! I'm fairly certain they put crack in their coffee, and I crave it almost daily. Wanna teleport some my way??

    Also- welcome!
  • My life is even more ruining after turning from premium player to completionist ...

As you can guess from my lack of creative signature, I'm still learning so I can't properly use the quote feature, yet.
Wait, who? Haha. Timmies keeps coming up with new flavours for dognuts, maybe that's an idea for here... Limited time magical donuts that have special powers.... Mwahmwahhaaa!

Thank you sincerely for all the honest advice about the slipper-did-didilly slope.

Jae_bazz, you ain't kiddin' about them slipping something n the coffee. I heard they mechanically increase the caffeine level in the actual bean during roasting. Who knows.... I actually switched to the Golden Arches as they have seriously stepped up their game recently. I'll download the formula for their coffee into your holodeck when I can :)

SnarktheCat, howdy neighbourino! I went over by the punch bowl and had some cookies. Mmmmm cookies... Thank you kindly!

Amcevil, I betcha I can stop after just one dognut batch! Hahaha

I totally agree about Otto, he is one of my favorites. I love all of his lines but I wish he had more tasks
Another relative newcomer! In case no one else has said it, welcome to the forum jmcwaffles! Otto is pretty awesome, and is a premium payout. Now if we could just get him to endorse his preference of heavy metal bands...

I didn't want to admit it but your post is helping me open the "closet door" about secretly being a completionist. Damn you premium items.... Mmmmm items... Haha

Also, a many THANK YOU's to each and every one of you again for your advice and support.

    Edit: to add thanks.
  • Welcome to the forum

I'm a full premium player, even though I started spending doughnuts here and there...till I realized the volcano lair was in game  it was down hill from there on, I have everything except the funzos

And also it's getting a little tight in the land department...so yeah, premium is good
