Fortunately your Springfield is not lost It is still there. The game is improperly loading your Mayhem ID and grabbing the wrong town. The town most likely belongs to someone so try not to destroy whatever town you do load.

I logged in on an iPad that hadn't been updated yet and saw my town,but then game was trying to force the update on iPad too, so I couldn't get my correct "ID #" to submit to EA.
I wouldn't mess with someone else town.. Not my style :wink:
Hopefully, this gets fixed soon. I lost my town a year ago and started over then. I wasn't too upset then, but I have so much more time and $$$ invested now.

You shouldn't need to get the correct ID the server tells the game your correct ID first then it starts feeding it the "LIE" ID it is something that needs to be fixed on their backend. Why it gives the correct ID then assigns you a town with a entirely different ID is beyond me.
The people who are unaffected are people who are either being given all the right IDs or someone who has spent so much time on the wrong ID that when EA finally straightens it out the people who were on the wrong ID all along will probably be stuck with the wrong town.
In your opinion, will this be a quick fix once they find it, or will there be a huge mess of code to clean up?
Honestly it should be a quick fix if you ask me the 2 IDs don't match. All it really needs to do is setup the sessions to give out matching IDs. I really don't know how or why it is giving different IDs out anyways. I can actually load the proper town data by replacing the wrong ID with the correct one on the website in my signature. The only reason the game doesn't load the right data is it gives you a cookie/session for the wrong ID so you can update and play the wrong ID. They need to fix the cookies/sessions to give the ID that properly matches your login ID
