A company that can't take complaining and fix the issues that need to be fixed as soon as possible shouldn't be a company in the first place. Just because we didn't have stuff like this 40 years ago doesn't mean we have to sit there and take a sub par product. If we lived by that mentality, we would've never had any real technological advancements. Failure is never an option, especially when that failure is a product that people pay for.
So what I'm trying to say is if you're happy with a half as product by all means do what you have to, but don't tell others how to react to crap. If this game was once good, then they should keep their standards, otherwise (in my opinion), that leads to failure. And considering the direction the game has been going lately, it looks like they're failing to keep their players (costumers) happy.
