Yes, you are correct, both in a mathematical and literal sense. You can actually expect a slight profit in actual cost of donuts of the items received versus what you purchased based on the actual Homer Buddha odds. But practically no one wants that many of a single premium item. I do avoid buying SVT, Moleman, and Frink's Lab, because of the potential to win them for free or less than their purchase price. I live to keep the weekly mystery boxes interesting and something to look forward to. I still do not have SVT!
you do know that if you buy those items and then you get them in the buddha or mystery box you get the donut equivalent back.
for example if you buy SVT and then you get him in the mystery box you will get 30 donuts.
so basically you will get your money back.
If you have the 30 donuts to spend i say go ahead and get him because you are missing out on months of enjoyment of the character in your springfield.
Yeah, I realize that, and have actually considered that more recently, since I bought several donuts over Xmas sale. I'm probably the only one of my friends that I know of that has been playing for over a year and still hasn't won SVT in a mystery box yet. Of course, one of my friends who started a month and a half before me just finally won the Lemon Tree over Xmas, so it could be worse I suppose.
I've just held out that long on SVT, I'll probably still do so. But I don't expect to win the Tire Fire (not sure if I want it that much either) or Volcano Lair, and I did go ahead and buy Duff Brewery because I liked it so much.
