What happens after you reach the max, does it stay red until you spend some of the cash? What happens if you get more cash, does it roll over to 0 like Al Bundy's Dodge?

Yes, additional cash earned just disappears with the total staying the same and red. Any spending immediately reduces the total and makes it white again. Upon earning back to the limit, you don't see the special dialog and message for a second time.

I was a billionaire briefly in games 1 and 2. Then I bought the remaining land plots and went down to around 900 million. I'm building back up though - 940 million and counting.
Meanwhile in game three: 8.4 million and about to convert a bunch into donuts with Rat Trap Trucks.

Touching base, I also joined the club a little while back but; now touching onto 1.1B I haven't really wanted to play.

Honestly the current event has nearly destroyed my will to play the game. From impossible to see lawyers to silly Stage performer matching madness i'm just DONE. F___ it I'll just buy Cletus on the last day.
