Brandine and the Saint Patrick's Day Quest aka Brandinegate [spoilers]

I'm still waiting for my corn to be ready. Around 28 days left now.

I suspect EA did this on purpose to get people to buy donuts.

I ended my corn crop early when I got Brandine for Valentine's day. Now I have to end Brandine's pregnancy in order to get a stack of beer? Am I correct that if one doesn't have Brandine, you get the beer for free? I feel like I am being punished for spending money. EA, this is just not right! Well, off to go add to the complaint list...

you get it for free if you complete the questline. if you dont have brandine you skip her job yes

Add me to the list of folks affected by this scheduling conflict.

Thanks for that. I posted to that thread, too.

I went on live chat and it wasn't helpful. Basically he told me I had to pull Brandine off task to do this. He said he was not able to give me the donuts to do so, which is confusing since it has been mentioned that some have received donuts to speed this task up! Perhaps it's regional (and they have a thing against Canadians?).

He also said that they are working on a fix for it and they hope to have it in soon.

Meanwhile I'm forced to wait until the last day before I would have to cancel Brandine's spuckler task. If I'm reading correctly I'll need 6 hours for her task and then 8 for the final task, so I need to start this the day before. Any idea when the last day to complete this task would be?

the last day once you start the quests is april 23

Thanks - so I have about a month to hope they fix this!

That's good to hear! :thumbup:

just store her and reset the clock. After she gives birth to the three kids the task is gone forever. There is honestly no rush or reason to be upset.

I'm not "upset", just annoyed.

A month ago EA made available a limited-time premium character that some decided to purchase. After getting the character one is encouraged to (eventually) start the 90 day task of giving a birth.

Just one month later, people who have that character are basically told they have to make a decision: abort the task (thus wasting 30 days of progress), spend donuts to speed up the task, or do nothing and fail to complete the O'Flan-Again quest line.

Those that don't have the character don't have to make that choice. Annoying.
