If EA would bring us that day/night feature (it would be no problem to change the look as we already saw for halloween/christmas), they sure would do it this way..
Any other option couldn't be right, because people all over the world are playing this game!- Given that we have streetlamps, I do think a night view would be great. It would be best if it can be rotated per our preference, not necessarily by the time of day in our area.
And it doesn't have to be a truly dark night. The night can be somewhat similar to the Halloween event. That view was good - just a touch tough to see due to the clouds. But that general feeling of darkness and lit up streetlights (none light at present) would be fantastic.
Then, of course, all the corresponding tasks. :) - This is an interesting idea, but you know that it would require a hell of a lot more in the animation/creation department, which means it could take twice as long for EA to get the updates out... Is that something you'd be willing to sacrifice?
- I'd rather have development time spent towards future updates than a night mode. Halloween's was ok for a few days but got monotonous after that and it was very hard to update a panorama :D
