Cecil Task times not matching list

Hmm, according to the list of time durations today should be 4,2,6,2 so something is out.

I missed the last one yesterday (was 6 hours) so now I guess I'm off rotation.

I've noticed while I get those task lengths- they come in random order from what's listed daily......

Mine seem to be following the pattern laid out in LP's guide, with the possible exception of the first one. But I started the first one just after midnight EDT, so if it's like the Stonecutters event, the first one comes from the previous day if it's done early enough.

I've never missed a task and completed all on time. Today mine are 2h, 2h, 6h so far. Tstoaddicts has been asking it's readers to post their times since the start. So far no one has been able to figure out why some of us don't follow the general list for daily tasks. It seems like a bulk will follow the list and then the rest will receive a completely different set regardless of carry over from the day before. I'm one of the ones that get a different set, mine have never matched the list.

Same here. Couldn't fit that last one in with my work schedule and it didn't finish until early this morning so it counted as my first one today. Going to make it a bit more complicated figuring out the schedule if the rest keep rolling over.

One of the past events, not sure which one, we had a lengthy thread where some exceptional forum members were able to predict everyone's task schedule. As I remember they used a combination of science and magic. :D

If I remember correctly, the issue last time was that the stonecutter schedule was set for EA time zone. So everyone starting their tasks before midnight EA time (most of us) was getting the schedule from the previous day until EA headquarters hit midnight and rolled everything over to the new day. I'm guessing that can't be the issue this time or someone would have figured it out by now.

Hmmm. Let's see... I started late on the 14th, and I didn't realize until later that I had to finish them by midnight. So maybe I missed 2 tasks on the first day, which would mean that today I'm doing the last 2 tasks from yesterday.

So my next tasks should be 4 hours and 2 hours long.

and the only back to back set of 2 hour tasks so far is listed for the 16th.

Then there's another mystery: The other day I went to start my 4th task for the day and... I'm finished? But I could have sworn I'd only done 3 tasks...

Yeah, that time there was a difference between the start-of-day schedule for the parchment tasks and the start-of-day schedule for the Number One tasks. One was tied to EA midnight, and the other was tied to some Godforsaken time that I can't remember ... but some people (like in Australia) were starting their day at 10AM their time (which would be the midnight-EA-time issue), and there was, like, a weird 2 or 3 hour overlap with the two deadline times.

BECAUSE OF THAT OVERLAP, the calendars were all off ... Neglecterino figured out what factors influenced using the first-task-from-day-before pattern, and all sorts of other bizarre things. But I couldn't find any way to figure out this time using any hocus-pocus math like we did last time. :(

Today, according to the chart, it says 4-2-6-2. I rolled over my final task from yesterday, so Cecil gave me credit for that as task one today, and I got a 2-hour one for my task two. When that ends, if I have a 6-hour one, then the chart still fits for me. :?
