I've never missed a task and completed all on time. Today mine are 2h, 2h, so far. Tstoaddicts has been asking it's readers to post their times since the start. So far no one has been able to figure out why some of us don't follow the general list for daily tasks. It seems like a bulk will follow the list and then the rest will receive a completely different set regardless of carry over from the day before. I'm one of the ones that get a different set, mine have never matched the list.

Nissa, where on the planet do you live, time-zone wise?
Am in EDT (GMT-4) timezone in Canada. The first day of the event I was busy so I rushed a couple of the starting tasks of the event and completed two of Cecil's daily tasks just before midnight my time by rushing with donuts (countdown timer had literally 2 minutes left when I finished). All other days I've started the first task (sometimes two if I get a one hour to start) minutes after midnight my timezone.
ETA: Did some digging, thank goodness for timestamps on forum posts. So it seems the android update hit 2:30-3:00 pm my timezone. Following the walkthrough, I had 13 hours of tasks before I would unlock Cecil's daily tasks. Meaning I should have missed the tasks on the 14th. Since I rushed with donuts to get them and rushed the last two of Cecil's tasks, perhaps I started out of synch of where I was supposed to.

I missed the last one yesterday (was 6 hours) so now I guess I'm off rotation.
I missed quite a few. Drinking was more important than the quests on the weekend :D
:D  Are you my twin? Can I be the evil one?
triplets!- Well so far I've not missed completing one yet and I'm following the posted times which today were 4,2,6,2 so far today I've had a 4, a2 and a 6 hour task, got about 1 hour left on the 6 hour task today to finish it before the last task, also I can confirm that the tasks reset to the next days tasks at midnight here in tk UK so that's 12:00 bst which is GMT +1 I know this as I'm often up till that time and usually start the first task for the next day before I go to bed to give me a head start on the next day.

The daily timer is set based on midnight in your current timezone. There's another thread where someone was travelling across timezones and their timer adjusted to the new timezone.nissa762 wrote:

thanks for the info, hadn't seen that thread so they have made the reset time to midnight wherever you are, think that's more complex than what they have done in previous events.- wadebearRetired HeroWell now I'm completely confused. My brain must not work at all any more. I just got a 2 hour task, and according to my list it's the final task of the day. Unless I'm reading this wrong...
The yellow carton, red container, and pallet with 3 blue containers on it all have check marks. The purple shed is in bold. That means I'm doing the 4th task, right?
Well, if I actually started out with a 2 hour task and forgot, then that would put me on the last 3 tasks for the 19th and the first task for the 20th.
But if I blurred over a 2 hour task after the 4 hour task, then that would mean I'm on track for the tasks listed for today (22nd).
I'm just gonna have to start writing stuff down! These medications I'm on for diabetes, high cholesterol, & allergies are just plain out making me stupid.
On the bright side, I now have the list downloaded to my desktop. I can check tomorrow and once I get enough data to confirm where I actually am then I won't be guessing any more and can plan out the Cecil tasks. annettemarc wrote:

Me too, haven't missed any and mine don't match the published schedule.
One of the past events, not sure which one, we had a lengthy thread where some exceptional forum members were able to predict everyone's task schedule. As I remember they used a combination of science and magic. :D
If I remember correctly, the issue last time was that the stonecutter schedule was set for EA time zone. So everyone starting their tasks before midnight EA time (most of us) was getting the schedule from the previous day until EA headquarters hit midnight and rolled everything over to the new day. I'm guessing that can't be the issue this time or someone would have figured it out by now.
Yeah, that time there was a difference between the start-of-day schedule for the parchment tasks and the start-of-day schedule for the Number One tasks. One was tied to EA midnight, and the other was tied to some Godforsaken time that I can't remember ... but some people (like in Australia) were starting their day at 10AM their time (which would be the midnight-EA-time issue), and there was, like, a weird 2 or 3 hour overlap with the two deadline times.
BECAUSE OF THAT OVERLAP, the calendars were all off ... Neglecterino figured out what factors influenced using the first-task-from-day-before pattern, and all sorts of other bizarre things. But I couldn't find any way to figure out this time using any hocus-pocus math like we did last time. :(
Today, according to the chart, it says 4-2-6-2. I rolled over my final task from yesterday, so Cecil gave me credit for that as task one today, and I got a 2-hour one for my task two. When that ends, if I have a 6-hour one, then the chart still fits for me. :?
I thought it was the same bug as in Stonecutters. I've seen it give me, or my wife, the same hours from yesterday's schedule, if we do the first task right after midnight. It then switches to the new schedule around 3am. Those times are probably different for different time zones. However, Alissa from addicts, thinks it is more complex than that from her attempts to reproduce in multiple towns.
In any case, I'm not trying too hard to get all those tasks done. I'm not having problems getting spades, and despite starting the event 2.5+ days late, I'll get that silly npc. :)- mystery2miSeasoned Newcomer

Hmm, according to the list of time durations today should be 4,2,6,2 so something is out.
I also had 4,2,6,2. I am on the last one right now which is send a celebrity to watch an action flick. I was able to send Mr. Teeny to the Aztec theater which pleased me very much. Note to self: Must get a life! - TimeHorseSeasoned Newcomer5:36 minutes left for the current task, then I have to activate and complete the 2 hour final task. This game is really a torture. Fertilizer doesn't accumulate fast enough, corn doesn't accumulate fast enough, daily tasks are 14 hours or more. And update pushed so at least I can't start the next task for another 2 or 3 hours from when the last one completed because I have to get this silly Bart the Baby task now. If it doesn't give me more fertilizer, corn and tomatoes (no, I don't get tomatoes yet, be patient) then what's the point when the schedule is so unmanageable?
This game is slowly going from fun excursion to a full-time job. What fun is that. Well, you can't shake me. I've spent hundreds on this game and been playing since about a month it came out. Just know the more the game makes things impossible, the more I'm thinking of another way to play.
Don't get me started on the 11 Phonebooths I was supposed to get at the end of the last event but never did or that I'm placing things haphazard as I've got no space left and certainly no squidport tiles so no place to place L'infanto's home.
Just saying. Getting quite frustrated.
