- wadebearRetired HeroWell, something is definitely "off" here as my daily tasks do not match the chart.
The chart says: 1-2-4-1
I got: 4-2-4-1
Here's the thing: I'm playing 2 towns and both towns had the same task lengths. So I'm wondering...
Maybe it depends on what buildings you have.
I don't have the Super Collider, Volcano Lair, or Aztec Theater and I'm growing corn in both my farms. So perhaps the task lengths you get are affected by what buildings you do and don't have. So the next step would be for those of us who are not getting the task lengths on the chart to note down both the duration and location of the task, then compare.
Anybody game? - I was told on another forum that if you missed completing the last task from the previous day. It actually replaces the first task for the next day, rather than rolling over. So if today's tasks are 4,2,1,and 2 hours, and the previous day's last task was a 6 hour task, your tasks for the current day become 6,2,1,and 2.
I would assume it works the same if you missed more than one too.
Does that make sense? - AnnathewickedRising Traveler

I was wondering about this myself. I do have these buildings but I was wondering how not having them effected this set of task lists - My last task today was 1 hour. FWIW.

The only days I might have missed competing all 4 tasks were the first and second day - before I knew you had to complete them my midnight local time.
I did all my tasks from yesterday, so there wouldn't be any 'rollover' from yesterday.
Here's the complete pattern to date:
1-1-1-4-1-1-2-1-1-2-2-4-4-4-2-6-1-2-4-1-4-2-4-6-2-1-4-1-2-4-4-6-4-2-6-2-1-2-4-1
Including the last 2 from yesterday (which I am SURE of) my pattern is 6-2-4-2-4-1, which doesn't occur anywhere in the above pattern.
And looking at it I just realized that the last 3 digits match: 2-4-1. And the last 2 digits from yesterday match: 6-2.
It's looking more and more like the issue is that if you don't have a particular building, then you're re-assigned to a set alternate. wadebear wrote:

Yes I see what you're saying here. Hmmm....that may explain why my first task duration doesn't usually match the pattern either. I have none of those buildings.- Based on what I recall of Stoneccutters timing and what I've seen so far figuring out the times you will get goes like this
Whatever your local time zone is (mine is eastern), the Cecil daily task start at midnight in your time zone. (So find the menu that tells you about the Cecil daily tasks, that'll tell you what EA thinks is your local time
EA midnight seems fixed at 4am eastern (1am Pacific) (this is generally when an event or a sale is listed as ending, daylight savings time can mess with that but 4am is my line in the sand between day 1&day 2.
If you assign a task between your local time and EA midnight, the tasks will come from yesterday's list (ie I assigned a task on 4/23/2015 at 245am eastern, and so my first task length was whatever the first task length was for 4/22 then my second task was assigned after EA midnight so it was the second task given for 4/23 (if the first task assigned was short enough that the 2nd taskread assigned before EA midnight then the 2nd task would be from 4/22 as well
Eta it might be 3am eastern but I'm fairly sure it's 4am from the time where I assigned 1 town's tasks at 355am and got one task length for task 1 and then assigned town 2 task 1 after 4am and got a different length - wadebearRetired HeroOk, here's what I have for today (Apr 24th).
List times: 2-2-2-2.
My times: 1-2-2-2.
My tasks were:
1 hour send a K o o k to Collect Crop Samples at the farm - both games
2 hours Criminal Promote the Benefits of GMO and Celebrity Feed the Plants
2 hours Saint Pick up a Mysterious Parcel and Celebrity Promote the Benefits of GMO
2 hours Pessimist and Entrepreneur Taste Test GMO Foods
I started at 5:30 AM Central time, which is 3:30 AM Pacific time (EA servers). wadebear wrote:

I'm on the same schedule of 1-2-2-2. I don't recall the tasks. But I have 2 towns on the same schedule.
I started at around 4 AM Pacific time.- I literally give up, wadebear assigned task 1 at a time decidedly after my 4am eastern time and still got the 1 hour task from yesterday. (I assigned at 252am eastern, also got the 1-2-2-2 pattern.
I don't know if the breaking of the calender pattern is related to the fact that the daily task spades payout was 150 for each task (yesterday it was multiples of 40)
The only advice I'd give you wadebear would be to always assign the daily tasks within the same hour (ie the 3o'clock hour, the 4 o'clock hour), one time I didn't do this (town 1 @ 55 minutes past the hour town 2 @ 3 minutes past the hour)and wound up with different task 1 times in different towns
