Actually the Radioactive Man has appeared as himself in dozens of Simpsons episodes. He's not just in the comics.

Wolfcastle portrayed him just once in a episode & it would be a disgrace to the character to have him as a skin to Wolfcastle instead of his own character like how it should be.
