The christmas update should require an app store update as well as an in game update. Unless they didnt add any new features which doesnt sound too likely, but they do need to change the icon and splashscreen. We had an minor iOS update probably bug fixes but that also means we wont see the christmas update today why have a minor update and then a major update the same dayorthe next.
