I'm gonna be a Grinch (Grumple?) and not do any decorating until I get snow.

That is more or less what we all do. That reminds me, got to get Grumple out of Storage. :)

With the trees back to green, not even fall colors, i see no point in decorating yet. I feel like i remember it going from fall colors directly to snow in years passed.

Stupid Flanders has his lights up in my town. And Cletus, but he never takes his down.

The ground here is a gastly white, my furnace is gulping down $$, so I'm happy to see green trees.

All my decorations are out except snow and ice sculptures. They make no sense unless there is snow.

I missed last years run up to the winter event so can't comment on that but in the years previous to that I'm fairly sure ( as you mentioned) that the autumn look of the trees lasted until the snow arrives and didn't grow leaves again between autumn and winter.
