I'm now thinking that is why I can't attack, visited my neighbors just after the update so have the stupid 24 hr clock till they can be visited. For having so many issues (found 2 "hidden shakes" from neighbors just a little while ago). You would think with the long delay for this update it would not have the issues it is having.
I really have only the bare minimum understanding of what is going on but I thought you could attack if you have the 1st castle built. Is the sword icon in the upper right corner of the screen? I thought I read somewhere that normal neighbor visits were independent from the event. Anybody know for sure?
Since Gamer started the thread, I'm taking the liberty of showing my view of Gamer's town when I visit it. At the top left, it tells me that I have my traditional 3/3 actions, plus 5/5 attacks available. So visits/attacks can be in combination or separately. .
