Clear Your Roads
I've been advising people to get rid of all their excess streets pretty much since I started playing.
I have 1 section of street. It connects to the Squidport so my characters have plenty of room to wander in. I use concrete everywhere else in my town - and I think it's more realistic as to what a real small town like the one I grew up in and live near now are like. Streets with sidewalks are limited to the shopping district and high rent areas - everywhere else people walk on the street or beside it.
In this event the Gamblers all quickly migrate right to my Casino area. I don't have to search for them because they come to me. When you visit neighbors the game randomly drops Gamblers on the streets so... In my town just scroll toward the ocean and there's a string of Gamblers headed toward the Casino. I would put my street where the casino is (or vice versa) but it would mess up my Heights and Railyard crafting system... And it just occurred to me that with the new area select function I could move them all easily... Doh! I'll have to do that later - supper's almost ready...
In every event I've played except this one and the one with the ding dang flying elves all the invaders in my town always migrate to my street area, making them super easy to find. Not just for me, but for my neighbors.
