I can confirm the above. 8,000 coins for 1,000 elixir. Plus if you go over the 8k you don't get credit for the rollover coins. You start again at 0.Going to see if the next 8k in coins results in a different prize. I've got enough elixir that the extra 1,000 is pretty useless.It would be nice to use elixir on more items.

It might be really low, but do you actually think that EA expected many to get there before the end of the event? I don't think it was expected prior to the event starting until all these problems were discovered.

Nope, at every 8,000 gold you get 1000 elixir. I am on my 4th set of 8,000 gold.

So if I've got this right, to get those castle walls that cost donuts, you either pay the donuts, or you grind out elixir to upgrade the castle for which you want the wall, past level 20, until you get 105,000 elixir. And then you get one wall.So if you can pull in 18,000 elixir a day it will take about 6 days to get one wall that way.Right?

Earned my 1st 1,000 elixir today.....Lame

I'm pretty much in the same boat, i range from anywhere between 2-4000, i have once managed to get 5500 elixir but by chance more than anything really. I have used donuts to get all the walls i need but as for my freemium town well that town aint getting any of the walls needed to finish it off :(

You're doing way better then I am. Today was a good day and I made a little over 2k gold. The day before that was like 450. Oh well, all I'm hoping is I manage to finish this event. Kinda wish it was a simple event where you go and collect things from neighbors like before.

I make this kind of mistake all the time; saying one thing when I mean another. drosax1 probably meant to say "day" not "week".

Yeah I'm really not interested in putting in the effort after getting the statue. I'll keep my pace when I can. Neighbors can continue to abuse my houses. I wont defend them. But I dont care what I gather from now on. Not enough for me.

I finished the event this morning in good time for me going away on Saturday so I am pleased. I've already earned 2,000 gold since 7am and the day isn't done yet (5pm now).
