It's probably fixed, like the past community prizes. We'll get them, one way or another.

The counter is not fixed it is real.The reason why your seeing it go up at the same increment is because of the way it is programmed to reduce server load.When you collect a certain object 'CommunitySoccerBalls' the game fires a signal to the server that you are adding to the Community Prizes.When you ask the server about the Community Prizes when you login. The server tells your game a few things.

My point was assuming that this is the case, how are we going to get all the prizes (or even one of them) given the fact that we have less than 300k in almost a day and need 110mil just to get to the first prize - in previous events you needed inrementally more than the previous prize with every subsequent prize....

The counter increases based on the average amount of balls dropped per second but if you close it out and go back in you get the real number. BTW the numbers look big but trust me we will get to them. The point of community prizes is to make it seem impossible so we spend doughnuts but they are still earn-able. They don't want to spend time making content that no one will get. If anything they will lower the requirements to get them. Plus remember that not everyone is up to that quest yet. For example I spend all my amateur bucks not knowing I would need them for a quest so now I am saving up for my first soccer ball. By tonight I will have it and I will be able to join in on the fun. Plus I am sure after the holiday a lot more people that are in the same spot I am in or are on vacation will join in.
