Not a huge help, but I have made the offer in other threads too, I have a second town "danco1130" which I have not advanced through the update so it is still spawning skeletons. Feel free to add danco1130 as a neighbor and it will give you 3 extra skeletons a day if you visit , and I will switch it to zombies on Friday when they are needed. I don't play that town, so you will not get neighbor visits from it, but at least it will help a little with collecting skeletons. and of course you can always drop danco1130 after the event if you want.
